Steve Jacobus (pictured above, left, with several of his staff) is ALE's prime mover & shaker. Originally from Wisconsin, Steve founded and ran several highly successful startups in the U.S. including Olson Logistics, a national warehouse and trucking company.

                            

 In 2005, Steve and his family moved to Costa Rica seeking an authentic Central American cultural experience and a life closer to nature.

                            

Steve rapidly acquired an in-depth knowledge of his adopted country and began to channel his boundless energy into the creation of ALE and the building of Tierra Magnifica, a private resort where he often hosts ALE group events.

 

Both of these enterprises allow him to enthusiastically share with others the Costa Rica he has come to know and love.
