Day 1

The afternoon on day one is free for you to relax by the pool or explore the grounds of the La Quinta Lodge featuring their butterfly garden, caiman and tilapia pond, and poison dart frog garden.
Day 2 - Tirimbina Rain Forest Reserve

Afternoon
Discovering and learning about the Rainforest: Through a guided walk on the trails at Tirimbina Rainforest, participants learn the most important components of this ecosystem, its diversity and importance. Equipment such as binoculars, magnifying lenses and insect jars will be given to the participants.
Evening
Bat Tour: Explore the bat world through an indoor presentation and examine live bats previously caught in mist nets. Families will have a chance to study and identify each species. Please see

Day 3 Tirimbina Rain Forest Reserve / Arenal

Chocolate Tour: Participants will walk to the cacao plantation and learn about history, production process and importance of chocolate. The activity finishes by making chocolate bars. Please see

Evening Activity:
Eco-Termales Hot Springs soak and dinner
Treat yourself to a 2 hour healthy and relaxing soak in Eco-Termales and mineral rich thermal pools. Imbedded in beautifully manicured gardens, the thermal pools vary in temperature, depth and mineral counts, so feel free to wonder around until you find your favorite pool. From the pools you will be able to see Arenal Volcano's lava flow and hear its thunder. After the thermal pools you will be treated to a dinner at Eco-Termales restaurant.
Day 4

Venado Caves Tour
The Venado Caves were formed during the Miocene period, 15 to 20 million years ago. For many, many years they laid under sea level and slowly surfaced due to tectonic plate movements. The Guatuzo aborigines were the first people to discover the caves. Today the limestone rocks, stalactites, stalagmites and corals that form most of the caves attract tourists and locals to this natural cathedral shaped by underground rivers.
The length of the tour inside the caves is about 2 hours. During this time you will discover marine fossils, impressive underground formation and the usual cave dwellers: bats, spiders and crickets.
Safari Float Tour
Nature lovers can enjoy a 2 hour safari style float trip down the lower Peñas Blancas River. After a short drive from Fortuna center we begin a quiet paddle down river. Our pace allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the rainforest soaking in all the sights and sounds of this tropical setting.
Our expert bilingual guides will give descriptions of the areas plant and animal species en route while keeping an eye open for monkeys, toucans, Jesus Christ lizards, caimans, iguanas and a wide assortment of bird species. Fresh Tropical fruit and ice cold drinks await us riverside at the end of our journey. This trip is available with inflatable kayak as well.
ATV tour to the Rio Fortuna Waterfall
On this particular tour you'll travel through the tropical cloud forest of La Fortuna, conveniently located between the town of La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano, where you'll enjoy the vast flora and fauna in their natural habitat.

Canyoning Waterfall Rappel
Join Pure Trek Canyoning as we explore the secrets that lie hidden in the depths of a Rainforest canyon. Since 2002 Pure Trek has been leading the new multi-sport adventure Canyoning by rappelling and hiking in the spectacular canyon. You will rappel down some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica! You will be moving through a slot canyon in a rainforest jungle hidden in the mountains above the small town of La Fortuna below the famous Arenal Volcano. Morning Activity:
Titi Canopy Tour
Costa Rica's top adventure - Travel through the Costa Rican tropical jungle on suspension cables as you move through the primary jungle canopy with your bilingual guides and safety spotters from platform to platform. The howler monkeys will cheer you on as you experience the thrill of flying like the toucans through and above the forest.

Day 7
Half or Full day activity:
The Savegre River provides Class II, III and some IV rapids that are manageable in sturdy rafts that accommodate 2 to 6 people comfortably. Our guides stop at locally known swimming spots and breathtaking waterfalls to enjoy the abundant variety of wildlife along the river. On most trips, rafters will observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species local to this protected area of the tropical rain forest. After a steady 13 mile trip down the river, we wind our way back to the little village of Silencio where our now experienced Savegre River rafters board your transport for romantic evening in Quepos.
Evening Activity:
Planet Dolphin Sunset Sail
Climb aboard one of Costa Rica's fastest sailing experiences - our Catamaran Coastal Adventure. We'll glide through crystal clear, aqua blue Pacific waters and explore the mysterious islands that lie just offshore our coast. Where jagged rock formations and towering cliffs host numerous varieties of nesting marine birds and their young, you are likely to be joined by spotted dolphins native to these warm coastal waters that frolic and jump in our Catamaran's wake. Be sure to keep a sharp look-out too for giant sea turtles and migrating humpback whales. This journey can include: chilled champagne, fine wine, soft drinks, beer, appetizers on-board and of course a breath taking Pacific sunset.
Day 8

Your private driver will meet you at your hotel in Quepos, El Parador Resort & Spa and drive you to San Jose Int. Airport for your mid afternoon departure
