Costa Rica has just as many different types of weather as it does exciting destinations. Nosara temperatures are generally in the 80's and from mid-December through April it is sunny nearly everyday. Occasional rain showers cool the days from May through September and then the heavy rains begin in October. It's a good idea to be prepared for rain, wherever you are traveling. More mountainous areas such as Arenal, Monteverde and Sarapiquis involve hiking and adventuring so it's a good idea to have clothes that you can trek around in. Also, the higher elevations will come with cooler weather so a jacket and pants are necessary at times. San Jose can also be chilly at night. Quick-dry clothes are ideal for all weather.Suggested items to pack |
