Here is the down and dirty. Activities Surfing, ATV thru rainforest and ending at ocean, River Kayak and bonfire, hanging on property by pool & getting massages, going to a local nightclub......Owner and Staff---excellent. Local flavor knows the ins/outs….Owner was former YPO'er and "GETS IT"---retreat facility on site if your forum chooses to "work" on retreat. Book with this company this year or next…..you will not regret it.

My family and I have been the beneficiaries of Steve's "fantastic-ness" during two trips to Costa Rica. (In fact, we decided to return to Costa Rica BECAUSE of the unbelievable time we had with Steve in 2007). We are a fairly adventurous family with two grade school girls...a dad with a passion for Spanish and Surfing...and a mom who doesn't mind some quiet time with a book. With Steve's guidance, our family excursions have delivered on all fronts. We had a zipline adventure that we'll remember forever, followed by drinks and snacks at this frozen-in-time "pub in the jungle" that only Steve would know about. Every detail was thought of and handled. We dined at exceptional restaurants. We were guided to the best local surf spots and shops. We got to know Steve's friends and neighbors, so we really felt like we had an experience (vs. staying in a resort that could be anywhere). Everything was handled with confidence and good cheer. I can't recommend Steve enough.

We had a fabulous time on our trip! Everything was smooth sailing from the moment we were picked up at the airport to the time we left. We could not have asked for a better experience! All of the drivers were friendly and helpful. All of the hotels were fantastic! It was the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation and Eco-tourism. We will definitely be coming back to Costa Rica. You're right, it is the happiest country on earth, my kids frequently talk about the amazing trip we had to Costa Rica. Allow me to offer thanks for your invaluable assistance in arranging our tenth anniversary vacation in Costa Rica. Catie and I could not have been more delighted with our trip, which met or exceeded expectations in every regard. The natural beauty of the country was breath-taking, the properties at which we stayed were gorgeous (with Lapa Rios standing out as our personal favorite), the various tours and activities were exciting, enjoyable and informative, and we were received everywhere with warmth and good cheer. Even the weather cooperated, offering only brief periods of rain, generally timed at exactly the hours when a nap was most welcomed. Let me add that transitions from property to property and from airport to airport were handled with perfect efficiency.
Our vacation was fabulous. Wonderful to experience, and already wonderful in memory. We would certainly recommend that friends visit Costa Rica and make their arrangements through you. And we hope to have an opportunity to return in the future.

What an amazing vacation, a real trip of a lifetime. When we asked the kids what they favorite part was they must have changed their mind 5 times as they recalled all the different experiences they had - was it the white water rafting? or maybe the zip line? or how about visiting the cocoa plantation? or climbing the volcano? or swimming in a thermally heated pool... My personal favorite was the rappelling, but I think the first drop of 170 foot was a little intimidating for some! All of the Priest family got down, although Hannah decided to miss the first big drop and walk down the path with a guide and join us at the third waterfall where she roped in and went down.
Thanks for all of your help in making this happen for us, we could not have had such an experience without your guidance and organization.

Everyone in Costa Rica is so friendly, all happy to be living 'pura vida'. A great example of this were our drivers. All of them went out of their way to be gracious hosts and tour guides as well as invaluable transport. I real highlight for me was how educational the whole trip was. Everyone - guides, hotel staff, drivers - were so proud & knowledgeable about their country. They were really keen to not just share this knowledge with us but to have us experience it, whether it was spotting bullet ant & pit vipers in the rain forest, learning about bats, seeing how cocoa becomes chocolate or witnessing an eruption on Arenal, they made the whole holiday experience that much richer.
